Go Fish

  1. Objective: Collect the most 'books' (a set of four cards of the same rank, e.g., four 5s).
  2. Setup: 2-6 players. Deal 5 cards to each player (7 cards if only 2-3 players). The rest of the deck is the 'ocean' (stock pile).
  3. Making Books: When you get a book of 4, immediately place it face-up in front of you.
  4. Gameplay: On your turn, ask one specific opponent for a specific rank you *already hold* (e.g., 'Alice, do you have any Kings?').
  5. Success: If the opponent has one or more of that card, they must give you *all* of them. You then get another turn and can ask any player (including the same one) for any rank you hold.
  6. 'Go Fish!': If the opponent does *not* have the card, they say 'Go Fish!'. You must draw one card from the ocean.
  7. Bonus Draw: If the card you draw from the ocean is the rank you just asked for, show it to the table, say 'I got my wish!', and you get another turn. Otherwise, your turn ends, and play passes to the left.
  8. Winning: The game ends when the ocean is empty or all 13 books are made. The player with the most books wins.
